Small Groups for Women
At First Presbyterian we recognize how belonging to a small group can nurture your spiritual life. Please contact Carol Strickland, Associate Pastor, if you would like to join an existing women’s small group or begin a new one. Click here for current groups.
Open to any women who wish to attend, First Friends is an informal group that meets for dinner on the fourth Tuesday of every month at different area restaurants. It’s a great opportunity to make new friends.
Women’s Bible Study
If you would like to attend a weekly Bible study with other women, you are invited to join the Women’s Bible Study. This is a Sunday School class that meets 9:45-10:45 a.m. in Room 301. The class is a verse by verse Bible study combined with fellowship and support. The class is led by Wanda Wilcox. For more information, click here.
We plan one or two opportunities each year for women to get away for reflection and fellowship. Past retreats have included weekends at Fellowship Camp and Conference Center in Waterloo, South Carolina; a day retreat at the estate of a church member in Athens; attendance at the annual Women’s Connection conference at Montreat.
