Senior Adult Ministry
Josephine Paine Bible Study
This Bible Study, led by Associate Pastor Carol Strickland, meets at 10:00 am on the second and fourth Thursday of each month, September through May, currently via Zoom (ID: 706 543 4338, PW 185185). We study the text for the upcoming Sunday sermon. While comprised primarily of senior adults, it is open to all.
Due to safety concerns, the following Senior Adult Ministries are on hold:
– Prime Time Presbyterians (PTPs)
Prime Time Presbyterians (PTPs) is a group open to those 55 and above who enjoy time together over food and a program. The PTPs usually meet monthly for outings and get-togethers.
The Mellows is a singing group/choir that sings weekly at local nursing homes and retirement communities. There are no auditions or rehearsals and lots of good cheer among the (mostly senior) members of this group.
– Senior Adult Sunday
An annual worship service and reception, typically in August, give honor and enjoyment to our senior adult members.
– Christmas Tea
Annually this festive tea party is held at church with an inspirational holiday program and carol singing led by the Mellows.
