Presbyterian Student Center
Sunday nights provide a special opportunity for church members to hang out with university students at the Presbyterian Student Center – and provide dinner! We provide meals three times each semester for 25-30 University of Georgia students. The coordinator for First Presbyterian Church is Sydney Jackson. The coordinator for the Student Center is First Presbyterian elder Leslye Queen, who serves as assistant to PSC Campus Minister Andy Cooke.
The Presbyterian Student Center provides the drinks, plates, and cutlery, and the students help with the setup and clean up.
“The biggest treat for those preparing the meal is the time spent visiting with the students and Andy,” Sydney says. “I encourage all of those providing the meal to stay and eat and catch up with the students and what’s going on in their lives, as well as learning more about the Student Center.”
Contact Syney Jackson (firstname.lastname@example.org or 706-614-6216) if you would like to help for the fall semester.

IHN Host Week
Thank you to all of our kind and generous Interfaith Hospitality Network volunteers who helped so graciously during our host week at the end of July. You supported this program by offering help, hope and hospitality. Some of you brought food, served as evening hosts and overnight hosts, or did laundry and drove the van. Your continuous support is greatly appreciated.
Our next IHNA week is February 4-11. Please sign up to help provide hospitality at our church for 1-3 homeless families.
IHN Coordinating Team
Our new 2017 Interfaith Hospitality Network Coordinating Team is coming together with Patty Whiten and Michelle Clendenen-Shaw as our new co-coordinators. We still need a few more volunteers. If you would like to help or for more information please email me. Thank you for supporting this important ministry of our church.
