Dr. Bruce Lancaster
Bruce Lancaster grew up in Vidalia, Louisiana. He earned a Bachelor’s of Business Administration from Northeast Louisiana University in 1973. He was the Assistant Director of Lookout Mountain Camp and Conference Center in Mentone, Alabama prior to entering Columbia Theological Seminary in 1976. (He also had a brief stint as a cook on an offshore oil rig just before seminary!) He received his Master of Divinity in 1979 and his Doctor of Ministry from Columbia in 2007.
Dr. Lancaster served installed pastorates for 26 years prior to receiving the call to interim ministry. He has served as Interim Pastor for the past 13 years with churches in South Carolina, Mississippi, Tennessee, Florida, Missouri, and Texas.
Bruce and his wife Cathi have been married 42 years. Cathi works as an Educational Consultant. They have two daughters, Eleanor and Emily. Eleanor and her husband Jeff live in Atlanta with their son and daughter, Marshall and Cameron. Emily is married to Beau, and they live in Beaumont, Texas with their son, Grigsby. Cathi and Bruce like to travel and always look for more time to spend with their family, especially their grandchildren! They enjoy photography, walking, and entertaining in their home. Bruce likes to cook as a way of relaxing. He enjoys playing golf and wishes he had more time for it but says that the way he plays shows that his wish has never been granted! He also enjoys watching most of the spectator sports, especially college football and basketball. He likes to sit back with a good novel or biography for pleasure reading, is eclectic in his musical playlists, and drinks his coffee black!
