Dr. Carol Strickland
Dr. Carol Strickland, a native of Greensboro, North Carolina, is a graduate of the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill (BA), Yale Divinity School (M. Div.) and McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago. (D. Min.) She became the Associate Pastor of First Presbyterian Church February of 2015.
Before moving to Athens, Dr. Strickland served as Pastor of Abbeville Presbyterian Church in Abbeville, South Carolina. Prior to that, she served as Associate Pastor of Mount Vernon Presbyterian Church in Atlanta and First Presbyterian Church in St. Joseph, Missouri.
She enjoys reading, swimming, art, puzzles, and dark chocolate. She and her husband Jack Palmer have two young-adult children, Xan and Anna.
