Places in the Heart won the Best Actress Oscar in 1985 for Sally Field. This is a story of a widow’s struggle to survive following the tragic death of her husband in depression-era Texas. In addition to Sally Field, the film stars Danny Glover, John Malkovich, and Ed Harris. It is a wonderful film of grace and redemption.
