Stewardship is an Act of Joyful Worship
Stewardship – returning to God the gifts that God has given to us — is, indeed, an act of joyful worship. When we respond to God’s love by sharing it with others, we build the kingdom of heaven together. Just as we are called to joyfully share our financial gifts, so does God call us to give of our time and talents to serve this congregation and our neighbors through the many ministries of First Presbyterian Church.
This Sunday, January 19, we will dedicate our commitments of time and talents to serve and support the church’s ministry with our time, energy, and gifts for service. During the service, we will bring forward our Ways to Serve forms and offer them as signs of our dedicated response to God’s grace. We will have blank forms available on Sunday, if you need one. If you’ve already filled it out, please bring it with you – you can also complete the form online.
Please take some time to read about all the opportunities to serve; ask for the guidance of the Holy Spirit as you discern your gifts and commit to using them in the ministry and mission of our church. As a community of faith, we respond with great joy to God’s grace and generosity by giving of ourselves for the glory of God. Thank you for sharing God’s gifts with our church and our community.
