Congratulations and Godspeed to Roger Burbage!
Dear Friends in Christ,
At the session meeting on Thursday, February 17, Roger Burbage announced his intention to retire as Church Administrator effective March 31.
For nearly 12 years, Roger has served the First Presbyterian Church of Athens with energy, intelligence, imagination, and love. He’s been a friend among his colleagues and a trustworthy steward of all that has been entrusted to him, and the session responded to his retirement announcement with a standing ovation and a prayer of thanksgiving to God for his many years of good and faithful service.
Plans are underway for a reception in Roger’s honor on a date to be determined, but in the meantime, if you’d like to send him expressions of appreciation, his home address is 333 Riverbottom Rd., Athens, GA 30606.
